For the last few years there has been a cooperative effort between the American Backflow Prevention Association, Watts Regulator, Association of Boards of Certification and the University of Florida's TREEO Center to prepare a list of training sites throughout the U.S. and Canada. From January to April 1991, the TREEO Center conducted a survey of 160 known training sites and instructors to obtain data about available backflow prevention and cross-connection control training. The elements of education and training of a successful cross connection program and information on the results of the survey are presented.
