The 2100 Series Megaflange is a field adaptable flanging system that has the characteristic of being strong and resilient. The 2100 Series has exceeded the requirements of UL213 on ductile iron and steel pipe. This UL standard is used to qualify products for use in above ground fire protection systems. The Megaflange can be used on PVC pipe as well and has proven to be an effective and safe restraint. The performance of the restraint on the pipe exceeds the minimum requirements for the pipe alone. The 2100 Series has a 350 psi pressure rating for ductile iron and steel pipe in the three through twelve inch sizes with safety factors ranging from three to one to five to one. The pressure rating for C-900 and IPS pipe is the same as the pipe itself in the same three through twelve inch size range. These ratings allow the Megaflange to be utilized on pipe at the full pressure capacity of the pipe. The Megaflange is simple to install. It also allows for variance in plant layout as well as providing a means for quick and efficient removal of appurtenances.
