This slide presentation outlines a project at the Phoenix Water Services Department (WSD) to improve tracking and responding to regulatory requirements by integrating a custom, web-based integrated information system. The system will allow the WSD to:
access and analyze sample information originating from, and stored
in, diverse locations;
determine sample schedule, compliance and reporting
requirements through algorithms based on the existing drinking
water regulations;
generate compliance reports for submittal to regulatory
agencies; and,
provide relevant regulatory information as a reference in a
flexible and easily updateable format. The system allows
full alignment with the City of Phoenix vision to:
utilize technology as a tool to optimize work practices; and,
rely on the Internet as the distribution channel to capture and
make information available. Topics covered include: project background; development process; technology; benefits; conclusions; and, demonstration.
