The Las Vegas Valley Water District uses water quality modeling to meet regulatory requirements and to address water quality throughout its distribution system. This presentation describes the Las Vegas Valley Water District's approach to meet the Initial Distribution System Evaluation (IDSE) and the proposed Stage 2 D/DBP Rule requirements. Water quality issues unique to a rapidly growing environment, development and use of a full system model for meeting the IDSE requirements, and the District's participation in the AWWARF project "Localized Treatment for Disinfection Byproducts" are presented.
