The Drinking Water Treatability Database (TDB) makes available assembled data on the
control of drinking water contaminants, housed on an interactive, publicly-available, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA)
web site (www.epa.gov/tdb). The TDB provides data that may
be used for many purposes, including: identifying an effective treatment process; designating
Best Available Technologies; emergency response to intentional events (water security);
emergency response to unintentional events (spills); regulatory review; Contaminant Candidate
List (CCL) determinations; and, identifying research needs. It is of use to drinking water
utilities, research organizations, water treatment process design engineers, regulators,
environmental groups, and academics and graduate students. Includes figures.
