This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of groundwater treatment, including treatments options for contaminants removal. Adsorption media is presented, along with information on silica, SiO<sub>2</sub> Interference Mechanism, silica scrubbing chemistry, bench scale testing, on site pilot testing, Susanville CDC pilot, and silica scrub results. Summary results of the Silica Scrub Technique include:
economical process to extend adsorbent capacity;
2 hr. in-situ treatment every 3-8 months;
media remains in adsorbers;
