This powerpoint presentation begins by providing a brief overview of the maturity of arsenic treatment technologies. Two treatment optimization strategy case studies are presented. The first is the City of Mesa (Arizona) adsorption and ion exchange study and includes the following: Surface Water - 188 MGD; 36 Wells - 90 MGD for peaking; and, 18 wells evaluated Arsenic > 8 µg/L;. Arsenic compliance solutions included: non-treatment solutions of idle wells, and selective screening of high arsenic portions of wells, and reduce flow; and, treatment solutions included Falcon Field #4 - adsorption, and Falcon Field #15 - ion exchange. Includes figures.
