This paper reports
on an assessment performed to evaluate instruments that are currently being used by water
utilities which are based on the amperometric electrochemical method. The assessment was
conducted to determine if on-line monitors being used by utilities provided data comparable to
data collected by instruments that utilize the N, N-diethyl-p-phenylenediamine (DPD) method, that is by the method approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. This work was completed for AWWA as part of the WITAF program. Includes figure.
