In this study, MSSVpy was used to compare the organic character of representative source waters
(rivers, reservoirs, groundwater) and effluent organic matter (EfOM) from biologically
treated wastewaters, with particular interest in identifying molecular indicators of EfOM.
The XAD resin separated hydrophobic (HPO), transphilic (TPI) or colloid (COL)
fractions of these waters were made available from previous studies. More details on the
related geographical locations, environmental settings and isolation procedures used can
