Nanofiltration (NF) laboratory trials are presented, including feedwater characterization, Palmer raw water quality, membrane characterization, the effect of fouling, and the effect of natural organic matter (NOM) on removal. Presentation summary includes the following: higher NOM has little fouling effect on most NF membranes; toxin removal changes with the presence of NOM; CYN is removed better with higher NOM using loose NF; and, more hydrophobic microcystins are removed.
