In this study, the feasibility of using powdered activated carbon (PAC), granular activated carbon (GAC), and different resins to remove perfluorooctane sulfonate (PFOS) and perfluorooctanoate (PFOA) from water was investigated. The sorption behaviors including sorption kinetics, isotherms, effects of solution pH and temperature were studied in detail, and the possible sorption mechanisms are discussed. Includes extended abstract only.
