The purpose of this publication is to increase awareness of important safety and environmental issues regarding the proper handling, transportation, and disposition of cylinders and cylinder contents for the following conditions:
- cylinders containing unknown or potentially contaminated contents;
- cylinders of questionable integrity; and
- cylinders destined for decommissioning.
