This standard applies to one-component solvent release butyl-polyisobutylene polymer base joint-sealing compounds that are suitable for sealing, caulking or glazing applications in buildings on a substrate of glass, metal, masonry or wood.
The compounds may be used in interior and exterior joints that have movements up to plus or minus 5% but are not recommended for joints subjected to traffic or projects that may be immersed in water.
