This Standard provides requirements for rigid polyvinyl chloride (PVC) pipe and fittings intended for use in pressure applications such as water mains, water service piping, and process piping. Included are moulded, solvent-cemented, gasketed, or threaded fittings, and fittings that have been fabricated for use with any jointing method. This Standard includes requirements for materials, quality of work, dimensions, solvent cement, and methods of marking for pipe and fittings. In addition, there are requirements for hydrostatic sustained pressure, impact, and extrusion quality for pipe.
