This specification covers rectangular shielded connectors with ribbon style contacts on 1.27 x 1.65 mm [.050 x 0.065 in] contact spacing. Connector polarization is achieved by the trapezoidal configutation of the shell. The right-angled fwed connectors with active contacts are soldered to the printed board. The free connectors with stationary contacts use the insulation displacement or compression type of termination for round cable with 0.09 mm² (28 AWG) discrete solid or stranded conductors. It is recommended that the user have their cable evaluated by the connector manufacturer for their specific application. The specification is given according to the following:

2) Metal shell shielded version only

3) Over-molding to be shown only as an application note with maximum dimensions only

4) Only jackscrews to be used for mating interface hardware

5) Only cable connectors and right angle headers are to be covered
