FOREWORD

This document “Interoperability Standards for VoIP ATM Components – Volume 4: Recording” was prepared by EUROCAE Working Group 67 and was accepted by the Council of EUROCAE on 23 March 2019.

EUROCAE is an international non-profit making organisation. Membership is open to manufacturers and users in Europe of equipment for aeronautics, trade associations, national civil aviation administrations and non-European organisations. Its work programme is principally directed to the preparation of performance specifications and guidance documents for civil aviation equipment, for adoption and use at European and world-wide levels.

The findings of EUROCAE are resolved after discussion amongst Members of EUROCAE and in collaboration with RTCA Inc, Washington D.C., and/or the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE), Warrendale PA, U.S.A., through their appropriate committees.

This version of the document represents “the minimum specification required for Manufacturers and Users to assure Interoperability between VoIP ATM Recording Components”. EUROCAE WG-67 has updated the previous version of ED-137B and created ED-137C Volume 4. As compared with the previous version, the main changes are:

• Recording Clients MAY use any transport protocol and Recording Server SHALL support all transport protocols

• Audio only mode (without CRD) has been added as an option

• Additional options have been added:

• R2S Header Extension Recording

• Radio Selection CRD

• RTSP Session Keep Alive

• Recording Server Liveliness

• Proprietary CRD Metadata

• Ambient recording section added

• Recording playback clarifications added

• Flow examples have been added in separate annex

• Document structure have been redesigned to a more intuitive and easy to read format

This version is taking into account the EUROCONTROL VoIP in ATM Test Case Specification
