1. SCOPE

This specification defines the performance requirements for exterior, high visibility enamels applied to fully primed and baked exterior metal surfaces. Primer-topcoat systems defined by this specification are identified by the suffixes D1 through D9. These systems are defined as follows: ESB-M2P4-D1 Describes an automotive paint finish which provides good initial appearance, durability and corrosion resistance. This system is specified for use in truck plants and truck component suppliers with spray prime facilities only (non-Electrocoat plants).
