1. Scope.
The material defined by this manufacturing standard is an oil absorbing compound suitable for the use on concrete, wood or steel floors. The compound shall consist of a uniform mixture of minerals of the silicate type, processed to conform to this standard, which on absorbing oil or/water mixes shall remain in the granular form and not conglomerate or adhere to the flooring.
