Purpose.
Identification of critical thermal conditions and thereby affected components due to vehicle related heating up of the steering system by temperature measurements. Performance check of the steering system at steering component high temperature conditions (HPS, EHPS,and EPS).
Especially for EHPS and EPS this heating up is a mandatory functional test for software tuning for high-temperature functionality and heat protection.
The objective is to record the actual state and, if necessary, the development of suitable thermal protection measures.
