This specification details the requirements of a PVC based paintable underbody coating/sealer.
The material is applied in the paint shop after ELPO bake and must be capable of being either manually or robotically applied.
This material is used to coat the underbody after ELPO process. The Minimum thickness is 300 μm.
It must provide a high level of abrasion resistance.
In addition the material is also intended to seal interior and exterior body joints against water, dust and air.
The material must be compatible with primer surfacer and topcoat systems.
