Material Description.

The powder primer surfacer covered in this specification is intended to be applied and baked over an electrodeposition coating (e.g., ELPO, E-Coat, Electrocoat) prior to topcoat. The target bake for this system is 25 minutes at 177 °C (350 °F) substrate temperature.

The powder primer surfacer is intended to provide a smooth, adhesion promoting coating over baked electrodeposition coating. It is also intended to provide an easily sanded surface. The powder primer must be evaluated for plant-specific material layering and processing before release for production use.
