This specification covers the requirements of low solids (40 to 45% application volume solids), solventborne, rigid clearcoat. This clear is a component of the total topcoat system specified in 9984111. This clear is intended for use wet-on-wet over flexible or rigid basecoats covered in specification 9984518. Materials approved to this specification are not interchangeable and are approved for use only with the combinations of components of the total paint system which were used in qualification testing.
