1 SCOPE.

The material defined by this specification is an anaerobic dimethylacrylate polyester resin base liquid compound that solidifies by polymerization (not by solvent evaporation) into a tough plastic when confined between closely fitted metal surfaces producing an effective seal against leakage and mild shear strength resistance to loosening. This material is intended for sealing fasteners, studs and hydraulic, pneumatic pipe threads and fittings for fluid pressure resistance, and may be used for sealing flanges.
