1 Scope This specification defines the pretreatment, paint materials and processing required to paint/coat aluminum wheels and aluminum trim for wheels. Coating/Paint durability require-ments are also included. This specification ap-plies for all painted cast and forged aluminum wheels. This specification also applies for painted or roll-coated aluminum used for wheel trim. This specification does not apply to electroplated parts. This specification applies to all surfaces that are designated on the engineering part drawing to meet these requirements.
