1 SCOPE.

This specification describes sheet-form vibration damping material. The material may be of various constructions which encompass both extensional and constrained layer damping configurations. The material must be mold resistant and non water absorbing. One surface shall be either self-adhesive or adhesive coated and protected with a release liner. The adhesive surface must be smooth so as to achieve sufficient contact with the body panel to which it is applied. This material is intended for roof (Type I) or non-roof (Type II) applications.
