1 Scope
This standard describes the surface appearance and quality requirements for GM vehicles. The requirements are described in terms of appearance attributes and surface blemishes for each major body panel or zone on the vehicle. The purpose of these requirements is to ensure that the level of paint finish on GM vehicles will meet or exceed the level shown by our competitors and expected by our customers.
