1 SCOPE.

This specification describes 2 types of urethane foams with cellular features that make it useful as an air and dust seal and a water seal when compressed at least 50%. These materials can be used in place of expanded cellular rubber (GM6086M) whenever softness (to minimize miring part distortion) or large variations in gap is required These materials are a clean alternative to saturated urethane foams. The materials can be used within a temperature range of -40 to 120°C. Type I and Type IA are moisture resistant 90% restricted cell ether base urethane foams. Type II material will resist water to a greater range of compression and time. Individual application requirements may be tested to determine the best choice.
