This specification covers one type of hose, coupled and uncoupled, for use with gasoline, oil or diesel fuel, and related evaporateive systems and which requires lower permeability and greater fuel resistance than is provided by base specification GM6160M. Two base constructions are possible within the scope of this specification. Type I and Type II. If no type is specified on the drawing, it shall be Type I. Type I may be used for both liquid fuela dn vapor applications. Type II is used for fuel vapor applications only.

RESTRICTED AND REPORTABLE CHEMICALS (GM1000M). All materials supplied to this specification must comply with the requirements listed in GM1000M, Restricted and Reportable Chemicals.
