1 SCOPE.
This specification covers one type of hose, coupled and uncoupled, for use with gasoline, oil, or diesel fuel, and related evaporative systems and which requires lower permeability and greater fuel resistance than is provided by hose specification GM6163M. Two hose constructions are possible within the scope of this specification, Type I and Type II. If no type is specified on the drawing, it shall be Type I. Type I may be used for both liquid fuel and vapor applications. Type II is used for fuel vapor applications only.
