1 Scope

This specification gives the durability requirements for plastic parts decorated with wood grains, or patterns for interior trim panels. The materials shall be classified into four types by one of three processing methods: Vacuum Formable (Type A), In Mold Foil Decorated (Type B), Vacuum Formable Soft to the Touch (Type C) or Waterborne Decorative Film (Type D). Note: This material is not recommended for use in high UV exposure areas such as IP uppers or door rollover applications. Refer to the Test Sampling Plan for testing parameters.
