1 Scope

This specification gives the durability requirements for plastic parts decorated with wood grains, or patterns for interior trim panels. The materials shall be classified into four types by one of three processing methods: Vacuum Formable (Type A), In Mold Foil Decorated (Type B), Vacuum Formable Soft to the Touch (Type C) or Waterborne Decorative Film (Type D). The material shall be classified into two grades dependent upon UV exposure. The material shall also be classified by a Grade based on application exposure level.
