1 Scope

This specification describes the performance re quirements of a beaded adhesive/sealant used to bond inner door water deflectors. The adhe sive/sealant is applied to the deflector film at the deflector source. The bonded deflector must pro vide an effective barrier to water. Adhesive sys tems which meet the requirements of this specifi cation may be used with or without locator pins.

1.1 Material Description. The adhesive/sealant shall have good adhesion to door water deflector materials and inner door paint systems. These paint systems can include basecoat/clearcoat, basecoat only, basecoat with clearcoat overspray, primer surfacer only, primer surfacer with either or both basecoat and clearcoat overspray or ELPO.
