1 Scope

This specification covers the properties of a natural, UV and heat stabilized, thermoplastic vulcanizate containing fully cured EPDM elastomer particles dispersed in a continuous polypropylene matrix. The material can be processed using injection molding, extrusion or blow molding. 1.1 Material Description. Subparagraphs were not applicable. 1.2 Cross-Reference of Replaced Specifications. Subparagraphs were not applicable. 1.3 Symbol. Not applicable. 1.4 Typical Application. Typical applications include the following: coin trays, cup holders, seals, mats and other parts where softness and conformity are needed. Continuous operating temperature range: 40 to 135 °C. 1.5 Remarks. Not recommended where exposure to fuel or oil for prolonged periods is anticipated.
