Purpose. This standard shall be used to determine water vapor permeability of leather and textiles used as upholstery trim material.

Applicability. Upholstery material (leather, fabric, plastic roll goods).

Remarks. Water Vapor Permeability is a parameter which characterizes the comfort factor of leather on a seat in contrast to artificial leather.
