This engineering standard covers the material related part performance requirements for interior parts, e.g., IP trim, side trim, floor trim, seat, console, etc.

This standard is applicable for all global supplied parts, i.e., parts which are supplied to more than one of the GM regions GM North America, GM Europe, GM APO, GM LAAM.

Regionally supplied parts, i.e., parts which are supplied for use in only one GM region, may require fulfillment of that regions engineering standard only. The applicable regional engineering standard will be detailed in the SOR or drawing of the regional project.

This engineering standard is applicable for interior parts with appearance attributes (color, grain and/or gloss designation) and is in conjunction with the appropriate GM raw material specification.
