This standard shall be used to be determine the formability of sound deadener materials used in automotive body trim applications. The test simulates under laboratory conditions the production baking process.

Definition.

Formability of deadener materials, as determined by this test method, shall be defined as the ability of the material, to comply with the contours of a standard steel test panel, when subjected to the baking conditions (see paragraph 5.3.3).
