Material Description. This standard describes material types of unfilled, heat stabilized, acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) terpolymer which are used in injection or blow molded components.

Additional Characteristics. Materials certified to this standard may have additional characteristics, e.g., paintable, elastomer modified, etc. Possible additional characteristics are defined in GMW3013.

Types. The classification into groups is according to the different properties as described in Table 1, Table 2, and Table 3.

Symbols. The material abbreviation according to ISO 11469 is >ABS<.

Applicability. Typical applications include mold in color, painted, or chrome plated interior trim, and painted or chrome plated exterior trim.
