Purpose. Determine vehicle towing compatibility by checking the body and chassis clearance using the wheel-lift method.

Foreword. This procedure is used for either the evaluation or development of GM Towing Information.

Test Summary.

Damage-Free Evaluations.

Massoit at 24 km/h (15 mph).

Function Loss Evaluation.

Massoit at 40 km/h (25 mph).

Circular Track at 113 km/h (70 mph).

Applicability. Passenger cars and light-duty trucks having a Gross Vehicle Mass Rating (GVMR) of 4536 kg (10 000 lb) or less.
