Material Description. This specification covers the properties of a polyester low density Sheet Molding Compound (SMC), reinforced with 40% glass fibers; all are randomly oriented and 25 mm in length. The cured material shall have a density of 1.4 to 1.6 g/cm3 maximum.
Bondability. The material must meet the bondability requirements of GMW15921.
Typical Applications. Typical applications include the following: Plenum and inner reinforcement panels.
