This is a revision of the 2017 edition of the standard. This standard defines the nomenclature, design and application considerations in choosing the right pump for a specific industry use as well as pump operating and maintenance procedures.
Controlled-volume metering pumps are typically used for injecting chemical additives, proportional blending of multiple components, or the metered transfer of a single liquid in application requiring high accuracy, repeatability and adjustable rate of flow. Markets include: water treatment plants, chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, semiconductors.
