The first edition of the IATA Compassionate Transportation Manual (CTM) will be effective from 1 June 2020 and constitutes a manual of standards, procedures and recommended practices to assist supply chain partners, freight forwarders, funeral directors and airlines in the transport of human remains.
This new manual brings together existing standards and focuses on providing the industry with additional information and requirements to facilitate the compassionate handling and transport of human remains.
The manual provides a standardized and uniform approach in a multimodal environment which is essential for facilitating a compassionate environment during the transportation process.
