This 65th Edition of the IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations becomes effective on 1 January 2024 and replaces the 64th Edition, which must not be used after 31 December 2023 unless specifically permitted in these Regulations.
The IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations are published in order to provide procedures for the shipper and the operator by which articles and substances with hazardous properties can be safely transported by air on all commercial air transport.
The detailed content of these Regulations gives all the necessary provisions to enable a shipper to correctly prepare a consignment of dangerous goods for air transport and for a freight forwarder and operator/ground handling agent dangerous goods acceptance personnel to be able to verify, to the extent possible, that the consignment of dangerous goods complies with the requirements of these Regulations.
