This standard covers the material property of elastic materials, made primarily of natural rubber, synthetic rubber or elastic resin mixed with compounding ingredients (hereinafter referred to as "rubber material") and used for Isuzu's products and parts.

This standard, however, does not cover the vibration-isolating rubber¹⁾, ebonite, foam (sponge) rubber, tires, and tubes.

Note¹⁾ Parts designed to have special shapes, dimensions and mechanical properties according to the characteristics of the vibration to isolate such as engine mount rubbers, cab mounting rubbers and spring bush rubbers.
