This NES specifies procedural requirements and the approved materials and equipment for décor schemes in accommodation areas on HM Ships and Submarines.
The requirements of this NES are not mandatory for use in Royal Maritime Auxiliary Service (RMAS) and other support vessels, but their use is encouraged.
NOTE: Throughout this NES, the word ‘ship' is used to describe both HM Surface Ships and Submarines.
