MODUK DEF STAN 02-900: PART 0 PDF

This Part 0 provides users with the information that defines status and assists in the application of use of the Defence Standard 02-900 series. 

This part 0 includes basic outline guidance and content information of the Defence Standard 02-900 series; it also defines the amendment procedure to be followed where users identify discrepancies or shortcomings within any of the parts. 

The Annexes of this part list all those Normative References, Definitions and Abbreviations that are common across the Defence Standard 02-900 series. Specific Normative References, Definitions and Abbreviations may be separately defined as they are used. 

The material contained in all parts of the Defence Standard 02-900 series sets out the requirements that are not covered by Class or the Naval Ship Code, and which do not warrant a unique Defence Standard. 

A small number of discrete Maritime Defence Standards will remain and these, along with other Defence Standards and 3rd party standards will be referenced as appropriate.
