This Standard specifies the requirements, for Material Performance Type Testing, Manufacture & Production Testing of wire braided rubber hose to operate over a temperature range 4 0 to 100°C and spiral reinforced synthetic rubber hose to operate over temperature range from 4 0 and up to 120°C in hydraulic systems. The size ranges of these hoses are based on BS EN 853 and BS EN 856.

The tests specified in this Standard reflect the most stringent performance requirements expected in service. However, the Hose Assemblies purchased to this Standard may be used for less stringent applications. Alternative requirements will be specified in the contract.
