This Standard specifies the requirements, for Material Performance Type Testing, Manufacture and Production Testing of wire braided rubber hose to operate over a temperature range from minus 40 to plus 100°C and spiral reinforced synthetic rubber hose to operate over temperature range from minus 40 and up to +120°C in hydraulic systems. The size ranges of these hoses are based upon ISO 1436 and ISO 3862.
The tests specified within this Standard reflect the most stringent performance requirements expected in service. The hose assemblies purchased to this Standard however may be used for less stringent applications. Alternative requirements will be specified within the Contract.
