This Defence Standard specifies the washers, spring tension, to be used by the Ministry of Defence in new metric designs and, wherever practicable, for the maintenance of existing equipment.
The washers, spring tension covered by this Standard are not intended for use on aerospace vehicles or their associated close support equipments.
These washers are not intended for use on panel mounted components of telecommunications equipment. Such washers are shown in DEF STAN 53-30.
