This Part of the Standard specifies in clause 5 the performance requirements for transient, pulse and ESD generators; clause 6 gives similar information on the injection probes needed to couple generator output into an equipment under test. In clause 7, performance requirements are given for the calibration jigs needed to verify generator performance. Information is provided in clause 8 on the requirements for special voltage probes and their calibration.

Clause 9 describes compliance requirements for the Average Detector function of receivers to be used in Tests DEO1 and DRE03.

Clause 10 specifies the impedance/frequency compliance requirements for the Line Impedance Stabilizing Network (LISN) called up in the tests described in Part 3 of this Standard. Some non-mandatory constructional information and a LISN calibration procedure is provided.
