This document provides a definitive specification for the electrical, physical, performance and nomenclature requirements for a 10.5V, 30Ah (Nominal), Lithium Thionyl Chloride battery, NSN 6135-99-577-2517. To prevent the battery from being operated outside its design parameters it is imperative that external safety control features are used (see clause 6). The battery is intended to power a specific range of equipment (hereafter referred to as the "host equipment").
